System Requirements
Before using bobmarley.com, we ask that you take a moment and carefully review our System Requirements.
  1. Audio System Requirements

    Windows minimum system requirements:

    • 120 MHz Intel Pentium processor or equivalent
    • Windows 98 or later
    • 16 MB RAM
    • 16-bit sound card and speakers
    • 65,000-color video display card
    • 28.8Kbps modem
    • Dial-up Internet connection
    • Web browser (Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, or Netscape 4.0 or later); cookies enabled
    • Windows Media Player
  2. Video System Requirements

    Windows minimum system requirements:

    • Intel Pentium II processor or Celeron or AMD processor, 400mhz
    • Windows 98 or later
    • 128K RAM
    • 16-bit sound card and speakers
    • 65,000-color video display card
    • Broadband Internet connection that supports at least 350K throughput.
    • Web browser (Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, or Netscape 4.0 or later); cookies enabled
    • Windows Media Player
  3. Macintosh System Requirements

    Mac OS minimum system requirements:

    • PowerPC 604 processor (200 MHz or faster)
    • Mac OS 8.1 or later
    • 32 MB RAM and 64 MB virtual memory.
    • 28.8Kbps modem
    • Internet connection: dial-up for audio; at least 350K cable/DSL/network for video
    • Web browser (Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, or Netscape 4.7 or later, or Safari 1.2); cookies enabled
    • Windows Media Player Series 9 for Mac OS X
  4. Media Player Requirements

    Video:

    Multimedia comes in WMV format and runs on Windows Media Player version 10 or below. Some free video, features, trailers, and miscellaneous video may be in Flash Video format, which requires Flash Player version 7 or higher. Archived videos that are older than 2 years will play in the native player.

    Audio:

    Audio products come in WMA format and run on Windows Media Player version 9.0 or below. Audio content older than 2 years will play in the native player.

    Recommended Browsers:

    While the Media Player will run on most browsers, we urge that you use one of the following browsers to achieve the best performance. If you are limited to using a browser that is not listed here, please make sure to test out the Media Player before purchasing a subscription. We do not provide support for browsers that are not listed below.

    PC:

    Internet Explorer 6.0 or above, Mozilla FireFox 1.x, IE 6 on AOL 9

    Mac:

    Fire Fox 2.0 or above

  5. Other General Settings

    • JavaScript turned ON - this is the standard setting for all browsers. The site will not work if JavaScript is turned off.
    • Cookies enabled - this is the standard setting for all browsers. If cookies are disabled, you may experience difficulties viewing certain content.
    • Pop-up blocker turned off - some applications, such as the Media Player are launched in a separate pop-up window. You may not be able to launch these applications properly if you have Pop-up Blocker turned on.
